My name is Laliv Shalev, I am originally an industrial designer,I always loved working with my hands and with different materials and techniques, I always felt more comfortable and in control with working on small scale items, and somehow naturally found my way into designing jewelry.
I work with Gold, Sterling silver and brass, and sometimes combine new and surprising materials.
The Meaning of the word “Baladi” is: Locally, From the ground, Untouched.
That is what guides the lines and textures of most of my collection.

After working for a few years as an Industrial designer, manufacturing mostly plastic products and mainly doing the work on a computer, I have decided to leave my job and become an independent entrepreneur. I took some classes at Micha Yecheli’s studio and worked as a part-time graphic designer, slowly starting to create my first jewelry pieces.
I love the online platform where I communicate with customers from all over the world. It is always exciting for me when someone picks my work to be their wedding ring or their everyday earrings to wear.
My studio is in Kibbutz Evron, located in the north part of Israel
